Coleman was a Lancashire resident born in the town of Blackpool. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also scored straight A's in her A-levels. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat confirmed at a press conference that Coleman would be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her for the role due to her ability to work most effectively with Smith and also spoke faster than him. But she's had a greater presence on television than in films. Out of all the characters Eva has appeared in on television shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that make an impression. The latter gave Eva two nominations for a Daytime Emmy.' She also got to showcase her creativity through music. Eva is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and an philanthropist. Eva is married three times with a daughter by her second spouse.
