Ina Garden is an American book author, who has received Emmy award. She hosts the most popular Food Network show Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. It is scheduled to air for another 27 years. Ina began her career by working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. Though she found the career intellectually stimulating initially eventually she lost her interest in it and bought a tiny speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. After selling the store it took her an entire 18 years transforming it into an extremely successful business. After that, several books were released and she also contributed to magazine articles. Between them the Food Network show was also successful. Her products range from appliances for kitchens to ingredient as well as storage containers. Ina is not a student at any cookery school or had a job in a restaurant. She she is completely self-taught. Her name is known for her unpretentious approach to entertainment and simple cooking. She is well-known for her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni, Cheese and with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
